Hey Everyone,
A lot of you already know, but for those that don't, I wanted to give everyone a little head's up of what I've been up to this past week. Exactly a week ago, I had my right lung collapse, and I was sent to the ER with a chest tube in me. Turns out, I had a bleb on the top of my right lung that burst. On Monday, x-rays showed that I had these blebs on both of my lungs, and I was at risk of having both of them collapse at the same time at some point. On Tuesday, I had surgery on my right lung. I had the top part of my lung removed, and then had my chest wall roughed up and inflamed to get my lung to adhere to it. This prevents my right lung from being able to collapse again, so that's good news! I'm at home now. It will take a little time to recover, but my surgeon said that I will make a full recovery, and will be able to return to my everyday activities eventually! Autumn has done SO much to help me physically, mentally, and everything in between. She has been incredibly strong, and I am very thankful that I have her. I love that I get to do everything with her...especially write music together that we get to share with the world! My entire family has been there for me, and I have the best friends ever! Thank you all for your love, support, thoughts, and prayers.
It's funny how life works. We were working really hard to prepare for our release show on May 1. Now that it's gonna take a little time for me to recover, I have to take it easy for a while. That being said, the May 1 show is off. I'm going to take this time to recover and come back better than ever! We'll be working hard to finish our debut EP, and we'll hopefully be back in early summer for an EP release show. Stay tuned! We'll post all of our updates here on our website.
Although we'll be taking a little time off from playing out live until I recover, our debut single release of "I Never Wanted" is still ON. We will be releasing this song everywhere online THIS TUESDAY (4/14)!! We are so excited to release this! Here's a little teaser to hold you over until Tuesday. Enjoy!
